There’s a mystery suspended in each of these intriguing paintings, pulling you into its depths. The figure of Anubis seems to be an outsider waiting to participate in each painting’s story – like yourself as an observer of the image,
There’s an entire narrative waiting for the viewer in every picture, and the strangeness of each scene provokes questions in your mind as to what is (or could be) unfolding. You want to step into each painting and discover its secrets.

The mainstream, superhero type of comic is a medium in which great attention was paid to the craftsmanship, communicativeness, legibility and precise narration. On the other hand, modernism and avant-garde were rejected. Conceptualist and non-narrative ways of thinking were alien, inimical and treated as fraud compounded with utter gibberish. Then, for years narration in painting was considered quaint, old and childish and did not become a modern artist. (..) Hence artists in whose works the line between the comic and painting – or the art world – is blurred are still regarded with suspicion for mixing different types of orders and stylistics as well as artistic inspirations.
